Design your own class

Learn the art of jewellery making in my Somerset studio. Get to work on your design idea or take the time to learn a specific skill you’ve been wanting to learn, face-to-face and one-to-one.

Using ancient techniques and traditional tools, we can delve into the world of jewellery making, covering skills such as: forming, soldering, piercing, wax carving, sand-casting and stone setting. Whatever it is you’d like to do, we can tailor the class to include what you need, and leave out what you don't. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, the studio will be ready with the equipment you’ll need to bring your ideas to life.

You can chose to focus on one technique, a piece of jewellery to craft start to finish, or you can chose to complete a series of prepared projects that cover the basic skills needed to get you started!

You can chose to make one small piece, or multiple chunky pieces, so silver will be charged per gram at cost price on the day, depending on what you use. There will also be a range of semi-precious gemstones of different cuts to play with and are priced individually. You are welcome to bring your own tools and materials if you would like.

Where you'll be working

Set in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, the studio is a warm and friendly space to get creative and learn some new tricks for your trade. You'll be surrounded by artworks, books and tools ~ the perfect environment to work in and leave feeling inspired!

Booking a workshop

Workshops can be booked per half day, depending on what you would like to cover in your session. Some skills will need more time, we can advise you on this before booking so you know what to expect.

1:1 tuition can get you moving faster than group sessions, with 100% of the time focused on what you want to learn, complete access to the studio tools, and plenty of time to ask questions. You will leave with handouts related to what you learned on the day, detailing helpful tips and supplier recommendations so you can go off and continue practicing!

£120 for a half day (3 hours) 
£195 for a full day (6.5 hours)
Full day sessions include a half an hour lunch break, and working breaks whenever you need them.
